Terra Natura Zoo

On a trip across three continents Terra Natura Zoo has over 1500 animals with 200 different species. These species are in their own habitat and include; rhino, elephant, crocodiles, jaguars, macaws, armadillos, dromedaries, flying foxes, tiger, lions, otters, marmosets and many more other species of primates, exotic birds, large herbivores and more than you can imagine. Aqualandia Benidorm

This is the first of Spain’s water park and the largest in the world. It is located where there is natural beauty and one can enjoy variety of best water rides and many more complimentary services. The park has an area of 50,000 square meters with 150000 square mattresses specifically for parking. The rides are classified according to their intensity to ensure that all riders enjoy an unforgettable experience. Some of the extras are ATM, safe-deposit, photography booth, souvenir shop and a picnic area. Additionally, they have a self service restaurant offering snacks, pizzeria, ice cream and barbecue.

Climb to Santa Barbara Castle

This is a tenth century fortress that is in the history of Alicante. Its location is an attraction by itself being on top of Mount Benacantil providing tremendous views of Alicante and its environs. Inside the castle there is the Museum of the City of Alicante and 10 exhibition places. It’s located in Mount Benacantil a short distance from Postiguet Beach.

Gravine Museum of Fine Arts

This is a traditional arts center that focuses on sculptures of Alicante and paintings by artists of the sixteenth and nineteenth century like Francisco Salzillo, Joaquin Agrasot and Antonio Gisbert. It is located in Gravina Palace old town.

Snorkel on Tabarca Island

 

A few miles from the Coast is an islet of Tabarca that has some of the magnificent snorkeling activities. Tabarca is a marine protected reserve for birds and marine life like lobsters, loggerhead turtles and different types of fish. You can also check out the church, lighthouse, beaches, quaint tewashed streets and restaurants. Lastly, there are three boats that travel between Alicante Port and Tabarca Island taking 45minutes each.

Canelobre Caves

 

Located in Busot a 24km drive from Alicante is Canelobre Caves. You should go check out the caves in the mountains and see the jagged teeth of stalagmites and stalactites that are adorned with bright coloring. One place you should visit is the tallest cave in spain resembling a vaulted cathedral ceiling.

Guadalest Valley

This is one of the most visited sites in Alicante located on the Costa Blanca. The place has great views from Guadalest Village that is situated on top of a mountain to waterfalls overlooking a reservoir. The village has 8 museums, a castle and shops selling crafts. They have guided tours and hire car from Alicante that you can use to explore the area at your free will.
